In Luke 13:19-31, Jesus tells a story that, for so many of us, is hard to accept because it deals with eternal things. In the story, a rich man and a poor man both die. The one goes to hell and immediately experiences the pain and suffering while the other experiences the bliss of heaven. But it forces us to confront an uncomfortable, if true, reality: there is an eternity. Are you prepared for it? Because the only path to heaven is through faith in Jesus in this life.
