How does a vertical change in our status with God lead to a horizontal change in our relationships with others?

What makes Paul's letter to Philemon so explosive is not simply that Paul was calling Philemon to pursue a different relationship with Onesimus in light of the gospel. It is explosive precisely because it calls us - all of us - to pursue gospel reconciliation. Instead of flight, fight or freeze, we are to seek shalom level flourishing peace.

And what is this peace? Peace is a right relationship with God, with ourselves, with one another, and with the world around us.
